Music Box students from higher grades (2+) qualify to join our Band program. We accept applications and hold auditions throughout the year.

Imagine friends, siblings and/or parents playing together, mastering different instruments; or perfect strangers bonding over a favorite song and becoming fast friends. Wether you play keys, guitar, bass, drums or sing - the opportunity to play, learn, make music & perform together is transformational.

  • Bands meet at least once a week for a 60-minute rehearsal

  • Featuring over 70 meets (equivalent to 100 hours of instructional hours) between rehearsals, team building events & performances

  • Led by a dedicated Music Box Band educator

  • 4-6 instrumentalists, plus a vocalist (who may also be one of the band’s instrumentalists) & the band structure is optimized on as needed basis

  • Contact us for syllabus, calendar of annual commitments and cost to participate

  • The fee for the Band program is heavily discounted for Music Box’s current students & includes materials, supplies, gear, rehearsal space, all required sheet music

Bands progresses through the levels of achievement (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced) and receive formal recognition at Music Box testing events & graduation concerts:

  • Graduation criteria are built into the Band curriculum

  • Certain number of Band performances, as well as mastering all of the Band grade level skills, will be required to advance to the next Band level
